As a native Dallasite and teacher, I know the power of a hardworking and diverse group of people. As an educator, I bring the experience of working with varied communities, age groups, and socioeconomic levels. My practical and solution-based decision-making will be essential to rebuilding the positive movement in our district of Dallas.

I will prioritize protecting our campuses and district security.

I will provide expertise as we weather the looming financial hardships of the district.

In a district that is hurting to effectively allocate equitable resources, the operational functions of our district will require the discernment of a person who understands the magic that happens in the classroom. I will make sure that every board item that needs approval from district exams, licensing purchase, personnel allotments and everything in between will be decided to bring the most effective growth in our district.

I will continue to foster relationships with local vendors, contractors, businesses to make sure DISD is able to offer relevant opportunities while advancing and connecting our community.

Inclusion and Diversity

Our district is diverse and multicultural, and I believe that our educational system should reflect and celebrate this diversity. I will work diligently to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where students, regardless of their background or identity, feel supported, valued, and empowered.

As a trustee, I know creating and supporting joint initiatives with local businesses or organizations like sharing facilities for community events, sharing expertise through guest speakers or workshops, or providing access to educational materials and technology will be  great ways we can have a strong impact on addressing the different needs of many of students.

Leadership and Vision

I am equipped to hit the ground running. We are looking at a district that is facing a deficit and contemplating some tough decisions. Given my 12 + years of classroom teaching, I have an experienced vantage point that is tailored for the issues our district faces.

With my passion for education, experience in the classroom, and dedication to our community, I will bring strong leadership and a clear vision to the Dallas ISD School Board. I am committed to fostering an environment of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity, where every student can thrive and reach their greatest potential.
